Organic "Name Reactions" and Coined Terms Research Guides
Many reactions in organic chemistry are named for their discoverers or developers, but what happens in these transformations? Interesting and/or general examples are occasionally compiled with descriptions of their origin, scope, and application. For more help, see the indexes of books listed in Information Sources No. 1: "Organic Synthesis". Other works may contain the information you need. Try searching the Online Catalog for books describing the reaction!

"Knowledge and understanding of the major information sources enable students and professional chemists to find needed information efficiently and on a timely basis."
