EUCLID Databases e-Journals Reserves Direct

The ChemCommons, modeled after the InfoCommons located in the Woodruff Library, provides access to additional databases and library resources that are specific to the study of chemistry.

Logging on to ChemCommons is the same as for InfoCommons:

1. Students, Staff and Faculty: use your Dooley/Eagle ID and password.
2. If your log-in and password does not work, you probably need to synchronize
your log-in and password with your Dooley/Eagle account. Please click here: (a new browser window will open) Synchronization
3. All others: Use your current InfoCommons user ID and password.

(For more information on accounts at Emory University please click here:

ChemCommons programs specific to Chemistry:

Beilstein Commander (Crossfire Beilstein/Gmelin; AutoNom);
Combined Chemical Dictionary; Analytical Abstracts;
CASSI; Chemical Synonyms and Trade Names;
Comprehensive Heterocyclic Chemistry I; MDL Synthetic Methods Databases
Merck Index; Methods in Enzymology Index

ChemCommons is updated every fall and spring semester. The version number tells you whether it is a fall or spring version (the x.0 is fall and x.5 is spring.) The spring 2005 version is 8.5
